At Wizard of Pawz, each pet is individually crated for their safety and so that we can focus our personal attention on giving each pet the very best hair cut in town. 

We will provide fresh water and fresh clean bedding while your pet is crated.  If your pet is not fond of crates, we will work to groom your pet quickly so that they are not crated.

Sound like a strange request? Are you surprised at this, coming from us? Well, don't be.  Wizard of Pawz has been a member of Matter of Trust for almost two years now.  (We didn't want to brag!) But, now, we've been called into action!!  WE'RE MAKIN' SOME BOOMS!!! Yep, you heard that right, we're helping to make Booms.
  
So, now you ask, "What the heck is a BOOM"?  The type of Boom we are helping with are basically pantyhose filled with hair, (human or pet hair).  They are more commonly made with an outer mesh and polypropylene filler.  Booms are used to soak up oil spills, like the one happening right now in the Gulf of Mexico.  The Booms are layed around the edge of the oil spill.  They can also be layed around the source of the oil spill, (oil tanker), and can be used to outline delicate animal habitats, preventing the oil from reaching the animals.
 
This is were we come in with your help, and more importantly, your pet's help.  We will be collecting hair clippings from the pets we groom at Wizard of Pawz.  We'd would like to ask for your old pantyhose too.  If they have holes or runs in them, that's Okay.  We can still take them.  Start a campaign today at the office and ask that your co-workers save their pantyhose for you.  You can bring them here and we will ship them.  Here is the link to Matter of Trust's website so that you can read for yourself about all of their programs.    http://www.matteroftrust.org/
